Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to announce the 4th Joint Meeting between the Netherlands Vascular Biology Organization (NeVBO), the German Society for Microcirculation and Vascular Biology (GfMVB) and our Belgian Vascular Biology Friends, to be held September 20-22, 2023 in Groningen, The Netherlands.
This joint meeting will bring together international experts from various fields of vascular research to foster scientific exchange and strengthen (inter)national collaborations and networks. The conference will host a series of plenary sessions (insert link to program page) as well as dedicated poster presentations to represent the full breadth of our discipline, including hot topics in systems biology, neurovascular biology, macrovascular biology, inflammation & ageing and clinical translational science.
Besides the invited international experts, there will be slots for 2 oral presentations in each session, based on selections from abstracts, to provide a platform for young researchers and trainees to present and discuss their work to a broad audience. If you want to be one of those young speakers, or simply present and discuss your work, or learn what your peers in the field are doing? Great! We are happily awaiting your abstract submission until August, 4th, 2023. Please also note that a limited number of travel grants will be available for young researchers.
Furthermore, the program hosts an extra session for renowned science awards, such as the Hermann Rein and Aletta Jacob Awards, where the best applicants will compete against each other. Prizes are available for the best abstract/poster and oral presentations.
The event will take place in the heart of Groningen with a social get together on the second evening. As one of Europe’s best travel destinations (source CNN) Groningen offers, in addition to numerous cultural and historical places of interest, a rich gastronomic and club scene, which you may want to explore.
Join us as we discuss the most recent research and emerging topics in our discipline and help shape the future of our societies.
